Annual Stayton Firefighters’ Breakfast 

3rd Sunday in May, 6AM to Noon. All you can eat breakfast. Support your local volunteer firefighters.  The proceeds go to the department to fund programs throughout the year. Call: Stayton Fire District (503) 769-2601.

Brown House


Santiam Heritage Foundation  Annual Garden Tour

4th Sunday in June with many beautiful gardens featured.  Proceeds will benefit the restoration of the Brown House & its garden. Call Wendy Stone (503) 769-8517.




Fireworks4th of July Celebration 

A traditional old-fashioned Independence Day celebration with a breakfast, Fun Run, parade, food, karaoke, entertainment and fantastic free local fireworks show (courtesy of the Stayton Fire Department).


Relay for Life


Relay for Life of Stayton Area

Second weekend in July. Regis High School, 550 W. Regis St., Stayton. The event kicks off at 6:00pm Friday evening.  There is a luminaria ceremony at 10:00pm remembering those lost to cancer and honoring those who have fought or are fighting cancer.  There are fun laps & hourly events throughout the night. The event ends at Noon on Saturday.  All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. 503-302-4356



Santiam Canyon StampedeSantiam Canyon Stampede

Third weekend in July. Our local professional rodeo with family fun and western excitement.  Kids events include mutton-busting, Jr bull riding, and Jr barrel racing. Event includes a “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” night (cancer benefit), “Military Tribute” night, a “Kids Corral”, entertainment tent/beer gardens with live music, motocross stunt-man Justin Homan X-Game gold medalist, vendors, a cowboy breakfast and cowboy church.
